​Imagine this- On your left is a skate contest going on, on your right is a band playing on stage and puppies being passed around and surrounding you are various food trucks. Now I know you're thinking, all of that at one place?! How can that be? 4 words: Skate Or Die Festival. This past weekend, me and my closest friend Greyson Sierp were able to volunteer to help set up this rad music festival and not only did we get to see some of our favorite bands perform, but we also had the opportunity to interview Phil Baier and Eugene Chung of Summer Salt. 

Q: What is your favorite song to perform?
Phil: Give My Heart a Little Break
Eugene: There's a lot of songs we haven't released that I like performing but Give My Heart a Little break is a good one.

Q: What would you say is your biggest accomplishment as a band so far?
Phil: Having people come up to us after shows and selling merch.
Eugene: Having fans in different states- the internet's crazy.

Q: I know you mostly stay local in Texas, but soon you'll be performing at a festival in California. How is that?
Phil: I'm excited because I love the lineup of that festival.
Eugene: We love it because when we're on tour, that's all we want to do.

Q: What's the best venue you've performed at?
Phil: We played in Montreal once and that was international, this (Gas Monkey Live) is probably the biggest one we've performed at, and Mohawk in Austin is pretty cool.
Eugene: Every venue we play is really accommodating and everyone's nice.

Q: Would there ever be a Summer Salt and Euji collab in the future?
Eugene: I may do a remix of a Summer Salt song

Eugene: We're going to be releasing our full length album in the next year with 12 songs
